  It started with wanting a new kitchen floor. It ended with Oakwood doing a complete transformation of our kitchen and family room! Our house is more than 40 years old and the kitchen was old and tired. So when we decided that perhaps more than a floor was needed, we called six different contracting companies to ask them to come to our house and tell us what they thought was possible. Oakwood took our admittedly vague design specifications and blew them wide open, respecting our budget and establishing a workable timeline. The best part of what Oakwood offered? Managing the project on our behalf. Oakwood developed and ran the construction schedule. We had weekly conferences with Trent, our site supervisor, where we discussed progress, issues and concerns. Trent was enthusiastic, helpful and had a great eye for detail. The quality of the workmanship is hard to beat. Our work crews were hard-working and polite. Some of them were even good singers! Oakwood actually completed our renovation a week AHEAD of schedule. When I told friends about that, many of whom had also gone through a renovation, they were absolutely amazed. But their reactions to our new space were even better- 'fabulous, ''amazing, beautiful, unbelievable. Oakwood did a wonderful job on our kitchen and I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone else. We would definitely use them again.
